When my air conditioner started blowing warm air last July, I finally called for service. The technician cleaned the coils, checked refrigerant levels, and replaced a clogged filter. He also tightened some electrical connections and showed me how to maintain the unit better. It cost a couple hundred bucks, but now it cools like new and runs quieter. Definitely worth doing before peak summer hits.
